Photocatalytic self-cleaning nanotechnology coating with antibacterial properties for industrial applications.

SurfaShield ™ Cx provides antibacterial and self-cleaning properties on highly porous surfaces such as cement, paving slabs, coatings, joints and rocks. It is addressed to the industry and is easily and effectively applied by spraying. With the help of nanotechnology and without affecting the natural appearance of the surfaces, SurfaShield ™ Cx covers the pores and binds to the porous surfaces.
By absorbing ambient light it converts light energy into chemical: Having photocatalytic semiconductor properties light creates short-lived oxidizing radicals after reaction with oxygen and atmospheric water. Microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, mold, organic stains, environmental pollutants, inks and odors are gradually destroyed due to the interaction of the coating with light.
In addition, the interaction with light turns the surfaces into superhydrophiles. Thus, as the water flows without forming droplets, the surfaces are cleaned much easier and the accumulation of contaminants that would age and damage the surfaces is prevented. Greater surface protection is achieved when the application of the photocatalytic coating has been preceded by waterproofing with SurfaPore ™ or SurfaPore ™ M.
